Thanks Bob’s
A Goodbye (for now) Fundraiser Event
Friday, November 29th, 6-8 pm
It’s a bittersweet moment as we announce that after three incredible years, Bob’s Gallery will no longer have a physical space. Over the course of 21 shows we've had the privilege of exhibiting more than 100 artists in our tiny apartment gallery. Unfortunately, as gentrification continues to reshape the neighborhood, the time has come for us to say goodbye to our beloved 1470 Bushwick Avenue location.
To close out our run, we invite you to our final show—an open call fundraiser extravaganza that celebrates the community we’ve built. All submitted artwork will be accepted and available for purchase. At the end of the night, all artwork will be up for grabs and trades by artists who are participating in the show. All application fees will go directly to Bob as a gesture of thanks for his generosity in hosting and creating such a warm, welcoming space for the community. Bob has been the best, most big-hearted host an art community could ask for, and we want to send him off with a sign of our gratitude.
Join us for this special event to mark the end of an era, and to help us celebrate the legacy of Bob’s Gallery!
Fablewhore
I almost didn't become me at all
a friend asked
me what do I want to be
the idea
that I
at 57
still had the potential to be
other than I already am
then they added
of what DID you want to be
but I chose to unhear that
wanting instead a few more moments to live in
the possibilities
what do I want to be?
could I really be something other than this?
and Sammy said yes you can be a Gallerist
how did I become the turtle fucking that hare at
the finish line
how did I become Aesop's Top
